Congratulations to St Werburgh's Primary School ((Silver Birch Annexe on Mogg Street) and Ashton Gate Primary School (Upton Road site) whose active travel champions have worked hard to secure 'School Street' status. 

A School Street involves a timed road closure on the street or streets immediately outside the school entrance to non-essential vehicles at school opening and closing times. 

The aim of a School Street is to make it easier and safer for children and their parents to walk, wheel, cycle and scoot to school as well as improving road safety outside school gates. 

Victoria Park Primary School and Cathedral Primary Schools are already School Streets schools. We look forward to seeing the School Streets in action!
