Outstanding results for Ofsted inspection at St Werburgh's Primary School

St Werburgh’s Primary School was delighted by the outcomes of a recent inspection carried out in July 2024. Ofsted has just published the report judging the school to have “Outstanding” Behaviour and Attitudes and “Outstanding” Personal Development and “Good” Teaching and Learning and Leadership and Management .   

The inspectors commented on how the school is ambitious for all and that diversity is celebrated. Pupils are tolerant and accept everyone’s uniqueness and behaviour is excellent. 

Parents and carers were overwhelmingly positive about the education and the opportunities the school provides, commenting that “The school goes beyond teaching the bare bones of the curriculum and helps my child thrive as an individual and grow important skills for life.” 

The inspection noted that pupils’ personal development is a high priority within the school’s curriculum and beyond. Inspectors praised the school for providing  ‘a wealth of wider enrichment opportunities identified through the ‘Passport of Experience’’.
